Terramar Networks provides asset tracking and fleet management services using a proprietary platform called tracpoint.  tracpoint evolved from two approaches to asset tracking: remote asset monitoring, using satellite and AIS-based technologies; and terrestrial vehicle fleet management, based on mobile communications technologies.  As a result of this fusion, tracpoint is a very flexible, scalable and robust platform, which can cater to a wide range of asset management applications on land, sea and air.

tracpoint was first used in 1999 by fuel services, tug and barge operators and the local US Coast Guard district Vessel Traffic Service in Alaska.  Since then, many shipping lines, offshore drilling operators and logistics organisations have incorporated the system into their operations, to track maritime vessels, fuel tanks, aircraft, trucks, oil rigs and other stationary and mobile assets.

In addition to asset tracking, we offer other value-added services, such as management reporting, alarms, temperature monitoring and maritime security applications.

Current Terramar Networks clients include AP Moller Maersk, Horizon Lines, Tyco Communications, Transocean, Rowan Drilling, Ensco Drilling, AT&T Network Recovery and Coca Cola Distribution.  Our total client list numbers over 300 organisations worldwide, across both private and public sectors.
